All About Different Kitchen Layouts

There are many different kinds of kitchen layouts that I can be done in in a kitchen. It has a lot to do with my budget and the space that I have in my kitchen. I can establish a very good layout and it does not matter what the dimension are, if I employ the work triangle, that is place the range, refrigerator, and sink so they form the three points of a triangle and are no less than four and no more than nine feet apart.

One-wall kitchens locates cabinets, counters,  and appliances against a single wall. Although most of this kitchen is against one wall, I can put an area that would be use as a clean-up center that would improve the work space. If a longer  line of cabinets  is put, this creates a more efficient L. If there is space, I can add a cook top in an island.

A galley kitchen places counters, cabinets, and appliances on opposite walls. Dimensions do not have to compromise, efficiency as long as all the essentials are where it is real handy to the cook. In a galley kitchen, I can have the space I can create another work area or an eating area with an island. I can also leave a space for a nearby eating area. If possible, locate entryways outside the work zone.

An L- shaped layout offers more counter space. If I add a curved island to the L-shaped layout this will expands the possibilities of the work triangle. In an open plan, the L-shaped island keeps your company from coming into your work area. But I place the range across from the L, then I will not interfere with the traffic coming into the kitchen.

The U-shaped designs of kitchens are highly functional. The U-shaped kitchen has space for two cooks and multiple work triangles. In this type of kitchen, one section of the kitchen is devoted to extra storage and wall ovens. Sometimes they have multiple work triangles and also an u-shaped eat-in kitchen.

Another type of kitchen is a  G-shaped which extends a U. A large G-shaped layout allows two cooks who can work together and it also has a generous amount of work surfaces. A G-shape with a U is where I will have an addition of a short leg which is usually a peninsula. This permits me to be able to place the ovens away from the cook top. So this self-contained kitchen will ensures sociability.

Summary

So as I see there are many different types of kitchen layouts that I can have to choose from for my kitchen. It all depends on what I want in my kitchen,my space, and how much money I have to spend on my kitchen. ">
